Spot PlayCRAB KEY (#8, 5-1) ran an even fourth first out at Arlington and has trained well at Keeneland leading up to his second start; should still to his price with some quick-working first timers in the race taking money. –Byron King.

Race 5 |
Spot PlayMACHO BULL (#6, 15-1) was too-hard used in the winter and spring, went over the top, and in any case is not a turf horse, though his last several starts were grass. Several of his FG dirt starts from last meet, though, would boss this field, and he’s a two-time winner on a synthetic surface. - Marcus Hersh

Race 6 |
Spot PlayGALTON (#3, 12-1) has sharp local works for capable barn, and the sire’s get is best on synthetic surfaces. Favored Category might be tough, but expect this colt to run well right out of the box. - Marcus Hersh

Vulnerable FavoriteGranted, it’s one of those full-field Keeneland races where there really is no favorite, but with the morning-line showing SHE BE KEENE (#12, 3-1) as the favorite, there’s got to be at least a little value in running her out of there. Kellyn Gorder is on suspension and his horses are running in the name of asst. Sally Schu; they’ll have a hard time getting this filly over as she makes her synthetics debut versus a handful of decent maidens who already have turf and/or synth experience. – Marty McGee
