Race 2

Spot Play

OL ARMY (#6, 9-2) just ran a close fourth in stakes company at Kentucky Downs and is dropped into an allowance where he looks like the clear speed. – Byron King

Race 4

Spot Play

TRULY AMAZING (#9, 3-1) Kee in fall differs substantially from Kee in spring in at least this one respect: The PID shippers are here to take over the claiming ranks. That was evidenced by their 1-2-3 finishers in a Wed. $25k claiming sprint, and before that, by Truly Amazing on opening day. Now he’s right back at ‘em, and although we won’t get 7-1, he still figures at a decent number when meriting a big chance when well drawn toward a repeat. – Marty McGee

Vulnerable Favorite

TRULY AMAZING (#9, 3-1) comes off a perfect-trip win against lesser, and now stretches out a sixteenth of a mile and tries 6 1/2 furlongs, a distance which he's 0-for-7; doesn't figure to get an above-average pace in this one. -Kenny Peck

Race 7

Spot Play

SWIFT ARTIST (#2, 15-1) was not fully exposed on turf, especially at mile, with only pair of 1-turn grass races in career: 2nd with solid group two back at AP, close troubled 4th last out at Woodbine. Only other speed in race marooned out in 10, & she might get an easy lead. Sharp recent works, too.- Marcus Hersh

Spot Play

INDIAN POND (#11, 10-1) was rained off the turf in her return from the long layoff but she has lots of room to improve here on the surface switch, with a race under her belt; tactical speed should enable her to get position despite the wide post. -Kenny Peck

Race 8

Spot Play

JORTS (#3, 15-1) You’ve got to be something of an old-timer to know who Mike Bell is (ahem), but suffice it to say the man is as meticulous as they come. Very doubtful we’ll get this 15-1 on this well-prepped newcomer, but considering how deep this MSW sprint came up, he’ll still be a decent number. On blind faith alone, we’ll step in knowing this dude is as ready as they can get; C-Lan adds to the allure. – Marty McGee

Race 9

Spot Play

Tony Dutrow $50K claim, rest, sharp works, entered in stakes? C’mon, that’s a great pattern for a bomber like MAKIN WAVES (#3, 30-1). Projects on stalking trip behind hot pace & in front of deep closers. Worth a use somewhere. - Marcus Hersh
