Spot PlayNEWFOUND ZAPPER (#5, 6-1) earned solid figure in lone try over this surface back in October ’12; that race produced four next out winners and the winner went on to win multiple graded stakes on turf. If this 4yo gelding just improves a couple lengths off that effort with maturity, he should make his presence felt.-Chuck Kuehhas |

Spot PlayRICO ROLANDO (#5, 5-1) It’s not a question of “if” but “when” Maker (1-for-13 to start off) and the Ramseys (1-for-7) will awaken from their early-meet slumber and start with the circle-squatting that became their trademark here last spring. Highly intriguing new claim probably was out of his element in a dirt sprint when being haltered by the red-and-white at GP; now stretches out and moves to Poly when jamming back for a tag and adding Javier while facing a not-too-tough crew. – Marty McGee Closer Looks >> |

Vulnerable FavoriteJESSICA'S STAR (#2, 2-1) has certainly impressed in his two starts to date but those were sprints on dirt, and he now goes long on the turf; he can certainly wire these but he's not worth using at 2-1 (or less), which is the ML price. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |

Spot PlayMIO D'ORO (#3, 7-2) is a pure speed figure play, as his Beyers are clearly better ythan the others; the price may be playable since he's coming off his maiden win but if he runs to those figures he's certainly capable. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |
