Race 3 Formulator PPs

Spot Play

TRIPLE CHARM (#5, 5-1): There’ve been a lot worse 5-horse fields in racing history than this one, in which every filly/mare is legit. Thinking the Sky Girl/Rosario allure might yield some value elsewhere, i.e., right in the lap of a Clement mare who seems to be begging for a one-turn Poly race after getting a great foundation this winter on the Gulf turf. Figures to allow the others fire off for a while, but then she’ll be moving best of all down the lane.- Marty McGee

Race 5 Formulator PPs

Spot Play

KNOTTY PINE (#2, 10-1): Despite the lack of published works, we’re hearing good reports about a filly whose dam won a G1 here at Kee and whose sire gets some fine turfers. Can hardly go wrong with Rosie taking a call from HOF trainer with a deserved rep for sending them out as ready as can be; we’ll be looking to see if the tote provides more clues than what we’ve already got on hand. – Marty McGee

Live Longshot

SPRING WATER (#12, 20-1) drew a wide post for her career debut but she's worth using on the strength of some solid recent works; low-profile barn should keep the price attractive. -Kenny Peck

Race 7 Formulator PPs

Spot Play

OLYMPIC AVENUE (#10, 10-1) lone try on this surface last spring was easily her career best, when she destroyed a field which yielded four next out winners; barn has started strong and can win in bunches. Will play to win and exacta box with #2 SIMILU. Don’t expect listed price, though. - Chuck Kuehhas

Vulnerable Favorite

ULTIMATE SHOPPER (#7, 2-1) checked late when last seen but she was tiring despite a loose lead; she is trying a synthetic strip for the first time, and she may face early pressure. -Kenny Peck
