Tickets for the Thursday before the Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland went on sale Tuesday, with officials at the Lexington, Ky., track announcing that all seating and dining for that Oct. 29 program will be sold in advance. General admission still will be available for the regular $5 price on race day. The Breeders’ Cup is being held Oct. 30-31 for the first time at Keeneland, where a slew of temporary facilities are being prepared. In addition to the regular venues, offerings for the Oct. 29 card include seats in the clubhouse lawn chalet, the paddock saddling chalet, grandstand loge boxes, and table dining on the second-floor grandstand. Parking will be restricted to pre-paid parking credentials. “The look and feel of the entire Keeneland campus will convey the excitement of Breeders’ Cup and will offer our guests an opportunity to view world-class racing in a unique setting,” Keeneland president Bill Thomason said in a Tuesday media release. Billed as “Prelude to the Cup,” the nine-race Oct. 29 program will be highlighted by the $100,000 Lafayette Stakes, which had last been run in 2008. Ticket reservations can be made online here.
