Keeneland continues strong

Glenye Cain Oakford|Sep 13, 2003

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Keeneland's 12-day September yearling sale, which posted 30- to 40-percent increases after its first four sessions, continued Saturday with a similarly bullish atmosphere.

As of 4 p.m., the fifth session had produced 12 horses selling for $200,000 or more, including the early session-leader, a $325,000 Unbridled's Song filly that Mohammed Moubarak purchased from Gerry Dilger's Dromoland Farm, agent, sold the bay filly, who is a daughter of the Seattle Slew mare Adina. The filly last sold as a weanling for $150,000 at Keeneland's 2002 November auction, where Mike Shannon, agent, was listed as the buyer.
