Keeneland aid tops $2M

The Keeneland Association donated more than $2 million this year to a wide variety of community and charitable organizations and to equine-related initiatives, officials with the nonprofit company announced Tuesday at its annual holiday luncheon in Lexington, Ky.

According to a company release, Keeneland contributed $887,739 to programs involving education, health and human services, animal welfare and other endeavors, as well as more than $1.2 million for global equine research, safety and welfare, and betterment initiatives.
