Juvenile races return at Arlington
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The first race on the Friday program at Arlington marks the first 2-year-old race of the season in Chicago, and no one with even half an eye on Arlington racing the last several years will be surprised to see trainer Jim DiVito with two entrants in the race, a 4 1/2-furlong Polytrack dash restricted to Illinois-breds.
DiVito has been on an absolutely epic roll with first-time-starting 2-year-olds at Arlington the last half-decade. During that span, in races at one mile or shorter, DRF Formulator shows DiVito with a record of 19-11-0 from 38 starts, a 50 percent strike rate that has produced a $4.09 win return on investment.
DiVito’s two for Friday’s race are Holy Bullex and Betruetoyourschool, the latter appearing to be the more advanced of the pair and likely a short price.
