ELMONT, N.Y. – There are four stakes Saturday at Belmont Park, topped by the Grade 1, $250,000 Just a Game Stakes, featuring a rematch between 2019 Breeders’ Cup Mile one-two finishers Uni and Got Stormy.

Uni beat Got Stormy by 1 1/2 lengths in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Mile to clinch the Eclipse Award as female turf champion. Uni has not run since, while Got Stormy won the Grade 1 Matriarch to end her 2019 campaign. However, Got Stormy is 0 for 3 this year.

The Just a Game field, from the rail out, is Beau Recall, Got Stormy, Valedictorian, Newspaperofrecord, Regal Glory, Uni, and Zofelle.

Trainer Graham Motion, who last week won two listed stakes and came within a neck of winning the Grade 1 Jaipur, will send out the pair of Mean Mary and Mrs. Sippy in Saturday’s Grade 2, $250,000 New York Stakes.

Mean Mary has reeled off three consecutive victories, including the Grade 3 La Prevoyante and Grade 3 Orchid at Gulfstream this year. In 2019, Mrs. Sippy won the Grade 3 Glens Falls at Saratoga and finished second to Sistercharlie in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl before finishing ninth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. She has not run yet this year.

Mrs. Sippy and Mean Mary drew posts 6 and 7, respectively. Inside of them, from the rail, are Call Me Love, Feel Glorious, My Sister Nat, Fools Gold, and Valiance.

Promises Fulfilled and Firenze Fire drew posts 7 and 8, respectively, in the Grade 2, $150,000 True North Stakes for male sprinters at 6 1/2 furlongs. Inside of them, from the rail out, are Diamond King, Midnightcharly, Wicked Trick, Wait For It, Yorkton, and Stan the Man.

The Grade 3, $100,000 Vagrancy for female sprinters at 6 1/2 furlongs drew a field of seven. From the rail out are Royal Charlotte, Mother Mother, Chalon, Jakarta, Come Dancing, Victim of Love, and Pacific Gale.
