Juddmonte colt Hidden Scroll back from eight-month layoff

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Hidden Scroll, the beaten favorite in the Fountain of Youth and Florida Derby last year, will be heavily favored when he returns to action in the Friday feature at Gulfstream, a $51,000 first-level allowance at six furlongs. The 4-year-old Juddmonte Farms homebred colt will be making his first start in more than eight months. He faces seven opponents in the ninth of 10 races.
◗ Entries were drawn Wednesday for the Sunshine Millions races on Saturday. Four Sunshine Millions races worth a total of $600,000 will be part of an 11-race card starting at noon Eastern.
◗ Jockey Paco Lopez was replaced on all mounts Wednesday when opting to start a three-day suspension stemming from his ride aboard Cleveland Simpson, runner-up in the fourth race here last Friday.
◗ Racing will be held here Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, with the following Tuesday and Wednesday dark. Post position draws for the Pegasus World Cup events will be held Wednesday.
