Gentry Farms and Saffie Joseph have had another notable 3-year-old winner at the Royal Palm meet in Accomplished Girl. She captured a first-level allowance sprint over older rivals on Tapeta July 16 and earlier in her career was a maiden special weight winner on turf with a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 92.
Joseph said Accomplished Girl could move back to turf for the Grade 3, $1 million Music City for 3-year-old fillies at 6 1/2 furlongs Sept. 2 at Kentucky Downs.
Accomplished Girl, who last out earned a Beyer of 81, is a daughter of Street Sense. She is the first foal to race from her dam, Dazzle, who is a full sister to Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile winner Exaulted.
Joseph could have another recent Gulfstream winner headed to Kentucky Downs. He said Transient, who captured the $75,000 Powder Break on Tapeta July 15, could move back to turf for the Grade 3, $1 million Ladies Marathon at 1 5 1/16 miles Sept. 9.
“The money is good,” Joseph said of Kentucky Downs. “We did good there last year. We’ll see if we can do it again.”
Transient is a daughter of Sea The Stars owned by e Five Racing Thoroughbreds.
Last season, Joseph won five races during the short meet at Kentucky Downs.
