Jolie Ange will try to improve to 4 for 4 this year when she leads a field of eight in the $50,000 Sadie Hawkins at Charles Town. The seven-furlong event for West Virginia-breds is for older fillies and mares. A 4-year-old Lion Hearted filly, Jolie Ange won her first three races of the season in allowance company. On June 5, she won a seven-furlong statebred allowance by 6 1/2 lengths. She came back July 1 and won an open 6 1/2-furlong event by three-quarters of a length. In her last out July 28, she won another open allowance by 4 1/2 lengths going seven furlongs, the distance of the Sadie Hawkins. Jolie Ange earned her lifetime-high Beyer Figure of 84 winning the Sadie Hawkins last year as a 3-year-old. Trained by Gary Capuano, she has won 7 of 12 starts at Charles Town and 4 of 6 at this distance. J.D. Acosta retains the mount. He and Capuano have won 38 percent of their races together the last two years. Others in the field include Saxet Heights, Princess Aditi, Smile Samantha, Shesagrumptoo, Natures Annuity, and the entry of My Sister Margaret and Come Here Oonga.
