Jockeys invade Stars of Texas program

Jockeys Richard Eramia, Deshawn Parker, Luis Quinonez, Adrian Ramos, Ricardo Santana Jr., and Jamie Theriot are all named to ride horses on the Stars of Texas program Saturday night at Lone Star Park. The card features four restricted stakes, led by a pair of divisions of the Texas Thoroughbred Association Sales Futurity and the $50,000 Assault Stakes, which drew defending race winner Texas Bling.
Santana will ride Texas Bling in the Assault, which drew 11 when entries were taken Wednesday for the one-mile race for Texas-bred 3-year-olds and up. Others set to start include Grade 3 Texas Mile winner Texas Air. Theriot will ride He Has Bling.
Earlier on the card, Santana has the mount on Fleet Grey, a maiden special weight winner at Churchill Downs who goes in the $100,000 fillies’ division of the TTA Sales Futurity. Parker is named on Flying Katnip in the same race, while Ramos has the call on Josie the E F Five.
Eramia and Theriot both have mounts in the $100,000 colts-and-geldings division of the TTA Sales Futurity, with Eramia on Moon Hopper and Theriot teaming with Jet Over, a maiden special weight winner at Churchill. Parker, meanwhile, will ride Texas Chrome.
In the $50,000 Valor Farm Stakes for fillies and mares, Quinonez has the mount on Lasting Bubbles, and Santana will ride Everything Bling. Quinonez on Friday has an overnight mount at Lone Star.
