Jockeys in hoops game benefit for Lakeman

A team of jockeys, led by John Velazquez and Kent Desormeaux, will play a AAU nationally ranked fifth-grade basketball team Thursday at the Saratoga Springs High School Gymnasium in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to raise money for jockey Andrew Lakeman, who was paralyzed in a spill at Belmont Park on May 25.
