Jockey Miguel Vasquez swept both Saturday stakes at Gulfstream Park when he guided He’s Bankable to a 2 1/2-length win in the $75,000 English Channel and Camila Princess to an explosive score over Classy Dancer in the Honey Ryder.

Both the English Channel and Honey Ryder were run over 1 1/16 miles on turf. The course was rated good.

He’s Bankable ($5.80) won his second straight stakes in the English Channel. He took the lead soon after the start and put up fractions of 24.13 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.51 for the half-mile, and 1:12.12 for six furlongs. He’s Bankable increased in advantage in the stretch while covering the distance in 1:43.60.

Vasquez rode the winner for trainer Mark Casse.

He’s Bankable came into the English Channel off a wire-to-wire win in the $100,000 DRF Bets Sophomore Turf Stakes on March 25 at Tampa. He has now won three of seven starts and earned $152,561.

He’s Bankable is a son of Arch and a half-brother to millionaire Awesome Slew. He races for his breeder, Live Oak Plantation.

Camila Princess ($6.60) was content to let the field go in the Honey Ryder, as she rode the rail while Classy Dancer took the field through fractions of 23.55 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.50 for the half-mile, and 1:11.54 for six furlongs. Camila Princess put in an explosive move on the final turn, picking off rivals quickly while advancing along the rail. She angled outside of Classy Dancer into the stretch and overtook that one soon after while going on to cover the distance in 1:42.85.

Camila Princess won by 2 3/4 lengths. Vasquez was aboard for trainer Oscar Gonzalez.

Camila Princess won her fourth race from six career starts. The Honey Ryder marked her stakes debut. She is a daughter of Animal Kingdom and is owned by Grupo 7C Racing Stable.
