Jockamo's Song must be caught in Fremont

Jockamo’s Song and Ring Necked seem to fit the conditions of Saturday night’s $70,000 Fremont at Delta Downs better than most of their rivals. The race is for non-winners of a stakes, excluding statebred or restricted stakes, and each horse has won such a stakes.
The Fremont, for 4-year-olds and up, will be run at a mile. Others making up the field include Freestyler, a Grade 2-placed runner who is cross-entered in Saturday stakes at Fair Grounds and Oaklawn, and Teniente Coronel, a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Sean Avery.

KEY CONTENDERS
Jockamo’s Song (Last 3 Beyers: 89-83-63)
◗ He rallied from off the pace to win the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Sprint in his last start Dec. 12 at Fair Grounds. That race came one start after Jockamo’s Song wired a field of maiden special weight rivals Nov. 22 there.
◗ Jockamo’s Song, who races for Dare to Dream Stable, is cross-entered in an optional-claiming race at a mile Sunday at Fair Grounds. If he goes at Delta, Jockamo’s Song is a candidate to wire the field under Eddie Martin Jr.
◗ Michael Stidham trains Jockamo’s Song, a son of Half Ours.
Ring Necked (Last 3 Beyers: 78-68-77)
◗ He became a stakes winner last year when he captured the GCFA Texas-Bred Stakes in August at the Gillespie County Fair. He took an optional $20,000 claiming race over 7 1/2 furlongs at Delta in his most recent start Dec. 22.
◗ Ring Necked might get a stalking trip behind Jockamo’s Song and perhaps Hazards of Love and Doc Almon. Chris Rosier has the mount for Penn Family Racing and trainer J.R. Caldwell.
Hazards of Love (Last 3 Beyers: 87-87-84)
◗ He has won back-to-back optional-claiming races in November at Churchill Downs and in December at Delta.
◗ Gerard Melancon has the mount for owner Maggi Moss and trainer Tom Amoss.
