Jls Dashn and Zoomn wins LQHBA Breeders Futurity

Jls Dashn and Zoomn backed up his memorable trial win for the $1 million LQHBA Breeders Futurity at Evangeline Downs with a half-length win over Jes a Fast Dasher in Saturday night’s finale. Jls Dashn and Zoomn was the fastest qualifier for the LQHBA among 117 horses, and he threatened the track record when he won his trial by three lengths Nov. 7.

The LQHBA was a restricted Grade 1 for 2-year-olds bred in Louisiana. It also was the richest offering of the meet at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, La.

Jls Dashn and Zoomn ($5.80) led throughout the 400-yard finale and covered the distance on a fast track in 19.72 seconds. Raul Ramirez Jr. was aboard the winner for Jose Guzman and trainer Brenda Foster.

Jls Dashn and Zoomn earned $445,000 for the win Saturday. He is a gelded son of Runaway Dash and was bred by Jls Speed Horse Ranch.
