Jermaine Bridgmohan hospitalized with multiple injuries
Jockey Jermaine Bridgmohan remained in a Minnesota hospital on Thursday, recovering from injuries sustained in the fourth race Wednesday night at Canterbury Park.
Bridgmohan has suffered broken ribs, a punctured lung, and two back fractures, according to information provided to track officials by agent Scott Stevens.
Bridgmohan was thrown from mount Mickey Dobbs in the fourth race, a $20,000 conditioned claiming turf route for fillies and mares. The race was declared a no contest after outriders called for jockeys to pull up their mounts, according to the official chart by Equibase.

Bridgmohan was subsequently transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, a hospital in Minneapolis, a track official said Wednesday night.
Canterbury closes out its meet Saturday.
