Jenny Wiley possible target for Paulina's Love

ARCADIA, Calif. – The $350,000 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland may be the next start for Paulina’s Love, winner of the $202,070 Buena Vista Stakes at Santa Anita last Saturday.
Trainer Richard Baltas said Wednesday afternoon that he has yet to finalize a next race for Paulina’s Love, who won her first stakes in the Grade 2 Buena Vista at a mile on turf for fillies and mares. The Grade 1 Jenny Wiley, to be run April 16, also is run at a mile on turf for fillies and mares.
“The owners would love to get a Grade 1 placing or even a Grade 1 win,” Baltas said. “It’s all about increasing her value.”
Owned by Kenji Morinaga and Head of Plains Partners, the 4-year-old Paulina’s Love has won 4 of 13 starts and earned $304,990. She was second in the Grade 3 Autumn Miss Stakes at Santa Anita last October and won an optional claimer in December in her two starts preceding the Buena Vista.
“I’d like to space her races,” Baltas said. “She keeps getting better and better.”
