Jeannie's Beepbeep impresses in debut win

No doubt that World of Trouble was the star of the Cotillion Festival program held last Saturday at Tampa by earning a 109 Beyer Speed Figure in a 13 3/4-length romp in the restricted Marion County Stakes, one of four stakes on the card. World of Trouble will make his next start in the Gulfstream Turf Sprint on the Jan. 26 Pegasus World Cup undercard.
Farther under the radar was the flashy debut by Jeannie’s Beepbeep, a 2-year-old Successful Appeal filly who overcame a rough start and swooped past the rest of the field for a 5 1/2-length victory. Her six-furlong time of 1:12.68 equated to a 67 Beyer.

Trainer Tony Granitz said he has received several offers for Jeannie’s Beepbeep, who is owned and was bred by Kendel Standlee, an equine insurance broker who lives in Lexington, Ky.
“The owner wants to keep her unless there’s a crazy offer out there,” Granitz said. “He’d like to see her get to the next level.”
Granitz said the Jan. 19 Gasparilla at seven furlongs is the likely next start for Jeannie’s Beepbeep.
