Japan: Schnell Meister faces stiff opposition in Yasuda Kinen

Later in the year, he won the Grade 2 Mainichi Okan at 1 1/8 miles at Tokyo Racecourse in October, and was second to Gran Alegria in the Grade 1 Mile Championship at Hanshin in November. Gran Alegria was later named 2021 champion sprinter or miler in Japan.

Serifos was fourth by 1 1/2 lengths in the Grade 1 NHK Mile for 3-year-olds on May 8, a race Schnell Meister won in 2021.
