Jackson lands first graded win in World of Trouble Sprint

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Jackson stepped out of the statebred ranks and into the Gulfstream Park winner’s circle as a graded stakes winner after running down Admiral Lynch to register a three-quarter-length victory in Saturday’s $100,000 World of Trouble at Gulfstream Park.
Jackson, a Florida-bred son of Kantharos, came into the Grade 3 World of Trouble (formerly known as the Gulfstream Park Sprint Championship) after finishing a late-running third following a very wide trip in the Sunshine Millions Sprint. Jackson showed a lot more early foot in the six-furlong World of Trouble, stalking a sharp early pace set by Admiral Lynch, overtaking the leader under vigorous urging from jockey Luis Saez leaving the furlong grounds, and gradually edging away.

Admiral Lynch, making his first start since transferred to trainer Jason Servis’s barn earlier this winter, quickly sprinted to command but had no answer for the winner while outlasting Epic Dreamer by 1 1/2 lengths to be second-best. Admiral Lynch’s uncoupled stablemate Lasting Legacy lost his best chance when bumped by Sweetontheladies and checking back sharply after the start, falling far behind the early leaders before rallying belatedly on his left lead near the inside to finish a non-threatening fourth as the 4-5 favorite.
Jackson was bred and is owned by Tracy Pinchin and trained by her husband Jose Pinchin. He completed six furlongs over a track upgraded from good to fast in 1:09.55 and paid $28.20 while swelling his career earnings to nearly $447,000.
“We always knew he had talent, he just had to get it together,” said Pinchin. “He’s going to be a better 4-year-old than he was as a 3-year-old. He should have won his last race. He runs tough every time. He needs to. I was really pleased with his trip, he broke clean, tracked the other horse, Luis went around and gave him a great ride.”
Pinchin said Jackson’s next start would be back against Florida-breds later this winter at Tampa Bay Downs.
Frank's Rockette clearly best in Any Limit Stakes
Frank’s Rockette, multiple Grade 1-placed at 2, asserted her class edge when drawing away to a convincing seven length victory over Sound Machine making her 3-year-old debut in the $75,000 Any Limit Stakes.

Frank’s Rockette, idle since her second place finish in the Grade 1 Frizette on Oct. 6 at Belmont Park, set all the pace under confident handling by jockey John Velazquez before drawing away readily when challenged by Sound Machine in early stretch. The latter advanced outside horses on the turn to get within striking distance at the top of the stretch but proved no match while easily second-best over a tiring Fujairah.
Frank’s Rockette’s final time of 1:09.51 over the fast track was .04 quicker than the older males ran in the Grade 3 World of Trouble an hour earlier. She paid $4.
“She’s trained pretty well,” said trainer Bill Mott. “We stopped on her and gave her time, not because she had any problems, let her get her feet under her, and she looks like she’s bounced back well.”
