HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Ivan Fallunovalot, who is near $1 million in career earnings, is being pointed to the $125,000 Hot Springs Stakes on March 10 at Oaklawn, according to trainer Tom Howard.

Ivan Fallunovalot finished second in the King Cotton on Feb. 3 at Oaklawn. He broke slowly, had two horses beat early, and rallied to finish two lengths behind winner, Wilbo. Ivan Fallunovalot earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 90.

“Ivan came back good,” Howard said. “We don’t know why he missed the break.”

Ivan Fallunovalot needed a win to hit millionaire status. His earnings now stand at $986,403, just $13,597 short of the milestone. He would surpass $1 million in earnings if he runs first or second in the Hot Springs.

◗ Amy’s Challenge passed on the Martha Washington that was to be run Saturday at Oaklawn to await the track’s Grade 3, $125,000 Honeybee on March 10, trainer Mac Robertson said. The race will mark the two-turn debut for the daughter of Artie Schiller.

Amy’s Challenge won the $125,000 Dixie Belle over opening weekend at Oaklawn to improve her career record to 3 for 3. She is a Triple Crown nominee who won the first two starts of her career over male rivals. She races for Novogratz Racing Stable.
