It’s the Swede led from start to finish as trainer Karl Broberg swept the exacta in the $60,000 Mamie Eisenhower Stakes for Iowa-breds on Friday night at Prairie Meadows.
It’s the Swede broke from the rail, had a narrow advantage after a quarter-mile, but pulled clear off the turn and into the homestretch and had plenty left to hold off her stablemate Who’s Smokin by two lengths. It’s the Swede paid $3 and ran six furlongs on a fast track in 1:11.07 for Broberg, jockey Sasha Risenhoover, and owner-breeder William Hobbes. By Yes It’s True, the 3-year-old filly won for the third time in six starts.
