Iron Fist quick out of the blocks
Classic sire Tapit, who is already a successful sire of sires, has several sons in this freshman sire class. The first to make his presence felt on the leaderboard is Iron Fist, off to a solid start with three winners from his first three starters.
Iron Fist, who stands at Whispering Oaks Farm in Louisiana, won five stakes, highlighted by the Grade 3 Cornhusker at Prairie Meadows, and earned more than $1 million. From 25 foals of racing age in his first crop, he has three Louisiana-bred starters, all maiden special weight winners at Evangeline Downs. Fiesty Fist led the way on May 20, followed by Buckley Bunny on June 5 and Iron Banner on June 12.
