iPad app offers sales catalog aid

Buyers at Thoroughbred auctions now can download and customize sale catalogs on their Apple iPads, thanks to a free EquineLine app.

The EquineLine Sales Catalog app is The Jockey Club Information Systems Inc.’s first product for the iPad. It allows buyers to create a single electronic book for multi-catalog sales, create short lists, highlight catalog pages record conformation notes and veterinary information, and make notations, among other features.

The app will include catalogs for major North American auctions, including ones at Keeneland, Fasig-Tipton, the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company, Barretts, and the Canadian Horse Society. It also will offer catalogs from a number of major European sales, as well.

The app is available free from the App Store on an iPad or at itunes.apple.com.
