Instagrand gearing up for return

ARCADIA, Calif. – Instagrand, an exciting 2-year-old colt who won both starts by more than 10 lengths before being sent for a freshening, is nearing his first comeback breeze, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said Thursday.
Hollendorfer said Instagrand might work as soon as this weekend.
“I haven’t made that that judgement yet, but he’s going to breeze soon,” he said.
Instagrand, a $1.2 million purchase by owner Larry Best at a 2-year-old sale, won his debut in June followed by a romping victory Aug. 11 in the Grade 2 Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar. He was taken out of training in late summer, and sent to Kentucky for a break. Hollendorfer and Best have not chosen a comeback race for Instagrand, but Hollendorfer said, “I think he’ll come around quickly.”
It’sjustanillusion sidelined
It’sjustanillusion, among the top 2-year-old fillies in California, is on the bench.
“She’s out for an extended period,” trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said Thursday. He declined to be specific.
It’sjustanillusion, an Uncle Mo filly owned and bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, finished second in back-to-back sprint stakes won by subsequent Grade 1 winner Chasing Yesterday. It’sjustanillusion has a win and two seconds from three starts.
