Inspiressa may be headed to Del Mar Debutante after impressive debut
DEL MAR, Calif. – Trainer John Sadler said that Inspiressa, impressive winner of a 2-year-old maiden race for fillies on Sunday, will be considered for the Grade 1, $300,000 Del Mar Debutante on Aug. 31.

Doing so would require her coming back 20 days following her debut, but she breezed home under Victor Espinoza while receiving a Beyer Speed Figure of 82.
“It’s only three weeks back, but we’ll sure look at it if she bounces back quick enough,” Sadler said. “Victor didn’t ask her to run hard.”
Inspiressa narrowly missed catastrophe when working July 18, when a wrong-way horse missed her but collided with another horse, fatally injuring both.
“She didn’t get her full work in that day,” Sadler said. “If it wasn’t for that, she would have run earlier in the meet. The win meant a lot after what happened.”
