Indian Tiva eyes third straight stakes win in La Senora

The stakes winners Indian Tiva and Dust Alert meet the impressive maiden winner Bryn’s Fancy Pants in the $85,000 La Senora Stakes at Sunland Park on Saturday. The six-furlong sprint for 2-year-old fillies bred in New Mexico drew a field of seven.
The late-running Indian Tiva enters the race off consecutive stakes wins at Zia Park, having taken the $55,090 Permian Basin against open company in October and the $151,600 New Mexico Classic Cup Lassie for statebreds last month. She owns a pair of 72 Beyer Speed Figures that top this field.
Dust Alert is undefeated in three starts but hasn’t raced since July, when she took the $165,771 Rio Grande Senorita Thoroughbred Futurity for statebreds at Ruidoso Downs.
Bryn’s Fancy Pants has made just one start, scoring by 10 lengths under a hand ride in a $28,510 maiden special weight race for statebreds at Zia Park last month.
