Imperial Hint solid in work for Breeders' Cup Sprint

Imperial Hint turned in his final Parx workout for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint on Saturday morning and is scheduled to depart for Del Mar on Tuesday.
Imperial Hint has won five straight races, including the Smile Sprint at Gulfstream Park, a Win and You're In qualifier for the Breeders' Cup. He sped five furlongs in 59.58 seconds Saturday after an opening half-mile in 47.56. He galloped out in 1:13.77, with track clocker Scott Bakos terming the work "handily," meaning without urging.
Trainer Luis Carvajal Jr. said this work was Imperial Hint's major breeze for the Breeders' Cup. Carvajal plans to give Imperial Hint an easy work at Del Mar.
"He worked really nice. I'm very happy with how he went," Carvajal said. "This was his main work, and when he got back to the barn, he was looking for his food."
Imperial Hint is 8 for 12 in his career. He earned a 109 Beyer Speed Figure while easily winning his last start, the Donald LeVine Memorial at Parx, by 6 3/4 lengths.
