?q=100)
The veteran gelding I’mgonnabesomebody ended a four-race losing streak since late May with a predictable win in Sunday’s $75,450 Bull Dog Stakes at The Big Fresno Fair, the feature race on the final day of the track’s two-week meeting.
Sent off as the second choice in a field of six, I’mgonnabesomebody ($4.80) was always near the front under jockey Santos Rivera, and won without late pressure, finishing 3 3/4 lengths clear of 11-1 Love Candy.
Celestial Moon, the 6-5 favorite, closed from fourth to finish third, never posing a threat in the stretch. He was beaten 8 1/4 lengths.
I’mgonnabesomebody ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:49.30 to win his fourth stakes in a little more than 13 months.
