I'm the Tiger wins Bold Venture

ETOBICOKE, Ontario -I'm the Tiger parlayed a dream trip into an easy win in Sunday's $141,250 , certainly the toughest sprint of the 2004 Woodbine meeting.
Todd Kabel rated the speedy I'm the Tiger just off the pace along the inside in the six and a half-furlong dash, as Lakefield set splits of :21.90 and :44.36 seconds, while being pressed by Tic Tac Man.
I'm the Tiger came through a big gap near the rail at the head of the stretch, and then kicked clear to post a length and a half-victory over Twisted Wit. I Thee Wed was another length back in third in the 10-horse field, while 4-5 favorite Chris's Bad Boy finished eighth after stalking the pace. The final time was 1:15.69 seconds.
"We wanted him to relax off the pace," Kabel said. "He broke sharp, and was anxious early, but I was able to get him in behind Lakefield down the backside, and he seemed to relax well. When I asked him to run, he was full of run."
I'm the Tiger returned $18.50 in his first stakes triumph. Trained by Danny Vella, the 4-year-old banked $84,750 for Stronach Stable.
