I'm a Cracker catches weight break in Emirates Park Handicap
I’m a Cracker didn’t debut until March 12, winning a maiden race at 4 1/2 furlongs by nearly two lengths at Gunnedah, Australia.
The lack of race experience may work in the favor of the 4-year-old Southern Hemisphere gelding with a light weight assignment in Monday’s Emirates Park Handicap at 5 1/2 furlongs on turf at Scone Race Club. Gunnedah and Scone are about 80 miles apart, northwest of Sydney.

Scone Race Club is one of three tracks operating in Australia on Monday, or late evening on Sunday and very early Monday across American time zones. Wagering is available on DRFBets.com.
I’m a Cracker will carry 126 pounds, 12 pounds less than topweight Belladeel, who is winless in his six starts. Should I’m a Cracker win on Monday, his rating in the handicap division is certain to rise.
I’m a Cracker apparently was meant to start in the winter of 2017-18. I’m a Cracker ran in a barrier trial, or training race, in December 2017, but did not appear in another trial until March 3 of this year in advance of his March 12 win.
The Emirates Park Handicap will have a maximum of 14 runners. Rachael Murray, who rode I’m a Cracker in his maiden race win, retains the mount for trainer Luke Morgan. Through Saturday, Morgan had won with three of his last 10 runners, including I’m a Cracker.
The only other runner in Monday’s field with a last-race win is Sparkling Rose, a 4-year-old mare who won a maiden race at five furlongs at Port Macquarie on March 5 in her first start since September.
Sparkling Rose, who will carry 121 pounds, is a threat from off the pace.
Isa Rocket may go favored. The 3-year-old filly, who will carry 130 pounds, won a maiden race last August and has not started since a third in a handicap in September.
