IEAH names Englander as bloodstock director

Richard Englander, a two-time Eclipse Award winner as leading owner, has been hired by IEAH Stables as its director of bloodstock affairs.

Englander, 51, owned and managed Thoroughbreds from 1999 to 2009 and was voted top owner in 2001 and 2002. His stable peaked at approximately 200 horses stabled with 18 trainers across the country.

In his new position, according to an IEAH release, Englander will be evaluate the operation’s current roster and oversee the selection, acquisition, and selling of its assets.

In addition, IEAH named Michael Sherack, who has worked for the company since its founding in 2003, as director of stables operations. Sherack, 36, will oversee all aspects of IEAH Stables’ racing and bloodstock.
