How to play Sunday's mandatory-payout Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park

Race 6: MY SEA COTTAGE was protected by waiver when wiring $35K nonwinners-of-two rivals Dec. 8. His tactical speed should come in handy in this $50K starter allowance. SKI PATROL was much farther back than usual early before closing for fourth when coming off the bench in his turf debut in an N1X/$25K mile in early December, a race he probably needed.
Race 7: Second-time starters stretching out who are bred to go long and are drawn inside could dominate this two-turn maiden-special. The Tapit filly BILOXI BLUES is sent out by Shug McGaughey, who had a 24 percent strike rate with maiden second-timers going sprint to route during the past five years ($2.26 ROI). MEDAGLIA FOREVER is out of Grade 1-winning dirt router Forever Unbridled. Her dull debut at Churchill contained two next-out winners. JELLICLE KATZ was fifth behind a next-out winner at first asking here in the slop. TITUBA and BE HERE NOW are two more possibilities.

Race 8: Coming off a good second-level allowance score at Woodbine, CONGLOMERATE is the class of this $16K starter handicap. The secondary contenders are MONZA, BURNING MAN, POPPY’S BOYS, and WICKED FINN.
Race 9: One could make a case for all eight entrants in this N1X/$75K sprint for 3-year-olds.
Race 10: FAST AS FLIGHT finished a lapped-on second in her first try at this second-level allowance/optional-claiming class. She could sit a good trip near the speed before going in for the kill in her first start under Tyler Gaffalione.
Race 11: Smooth-striding BEL ROSSO ran second behind the future graded stakes performer Chop Chop when debuting at Ellis Park before finishing third in a lucrative maiden-special at Kentucky Downs. SRI LANKA came flying late to just miss in her opener over a mile on the grass here in December. Her trainer is better second time out than at first asking. MRS. ASTOR was shuffled back in traffic on the far turn before closing for third in her much-improved second race and is picking up Jose Ortiz.
THE PLAY: 4, 9 / 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 / 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 / ALL / 6 / 1, 9, 11 = $240 Ticket
