Freshman sire Speightster was represented by a $1.1 million colt at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s spring auction earlier this month. This filly, who is the first foal out of a Grade 3-placed juvenile, was one of seven juveniles tied for the fastest furlong at 10 seconds through two of three sessions of the Midlantic sale’s under-tack preview show.
