HorsePlayer Interactive now available in Manitoba

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – HorsePlayer Interactive, Canada’s only legal online account wagering service, now is available in Manitoba.

An agreement between HPI’s parent company, the Woodbine Entertainment Group, and the Manitoba Jockey Club was announced on Wednesday.

“This is a very significant milestone for Woodbine Entertainment Group,” said Sean Pinsonneault, WEG’s chief operating officer, in a press release.

“It now means that HPI is available coast-to-coast across Canada.

The Manitoba Jockey Club, a not-for-profit entity, will conduct a live thoroughbred racing meet at Assiniboia Downs in Winnipeg from May until September.

“What makes this service particularly exciting,” said Sharon Gulyas, vice president of finance and gaming at Assiniboia Downs, “is that people everywhere in Manitoba now can enjoy playing the races. It’s as close as their computers.”
