BELEK ON ICE has disappointed the public on numerous occasions, but her 'A' race looks like it would be too good for these. She almost overcame an intensely, speed-favoring track at Delta Downs three starts back when racing four wide turning for home, and she had the misfortune to tackle a runaway favored winner in her most recent appearance. She draws a tough outside post position, but should be charging in the stretch.
MISS MILDRED ANN adds Lasix for the first time, and that is often a powerful angle in maiden races. She tired badly in a route race last time out, but that was a pretty tough heat as three runners came out of that race to win next time out. She has some tactical speed, and will offer plenty of value off her dull recent running lines. LEESTOWN BABY did nothing going long in the slop, but will make the important third start of the form cycle, and would appreciate faster going. She wasn't disgraced when just behind next-out winner Lucky Leelee on May 2, and this barn has had some success with horses cutting back in distance. SWEET LADY ANNE failed to ride a closer's bias into a board finish at Fair Grounds on March 24, but was compromised by a wide trip over a sloppy track last time out, and has never raced this cheaply. Expect improvement from this better post position. LADY WITH A SMILE didn't change leads when fourth at Delta three back, and her Beyers have decreased every since.
DANCING SCOUNDREL ran well for this price tag three back, but hasn't picked up her feet since being claimed that day. She drops back to the level of the claim, but must show better early speed.DOYLEROAD hasn't raced since last July, but is one of the few in the field that has shown any early speed.
