BAHRI'S GOLD was caught four wide around both turns in his first start for this high-percentage barn, and was nailed in the stretch by a rail-skimming winner. Although already a 12-time loser, his speed figures fit very well with this field, and he should be clear of traffic trouble after breaking from the far outside post.
TALK THE TALK looks like a very logical contender after hitting the board against maiden special weight rivals at Fair Grounds. He should be up close to the pace turning back to this sprint distance, but will face older rivals for the first time, and he has yet to gain late ground from the stretch call to the wire in his career. ROGUE RAGE showed improvement in his first start over a fast track, and first in a maiden claimer, and he looks like another that will be close to the pace in here. It's a bit disconcerting that he doesn't show a published workout in four weeks, however. LITTLEBITLIVELYMAN should improve with the addition of blinkers. He was very green in the early stages of his runner-up effort three back at Delta, and the new eyewear may allow him to focus better on the task at hand. DOWNTOWN VICTORY ships in from California, and may show better early speed in this spot. His career-best Beyer Speed Figure came at this distance, and he runs well fresh.
