HEY SKIP probably won't break into the body of the race from the also-eligible list, but she's one to watch down the road at this class level. Two starts back, she chased a gate-to-wire winner over a speed-favoring track, and she did not have an easy trip against tougher opposition on November 26. Five wide going into the first turn, she was bumped off stride racing into the bend, and suffered from a wide trip thereafter. Trainer Joe Walls adds blinkers for this, and Hey Skip has never been this cheap. FULL HOUSE looms the horse to beat off her solid runner-up finish in a key race for 40K in October. The late-runner was compromised when the pacesetters cruised through a 26 second middle quarter, but she kept on chugging in the stretch, and was slowly getting to the winner. She adds blinkers for connections that excel with young horses, and can be closer to the pace in this spot. WESTERN CHARMER should be among the early leaders stretching out from 5 furlongs, and speed is often tough to run down in these maiden claimers. Her numbers fit with these. FAIREST CONTENDER was no match for a runaway winner last time out, and she shows a bullet workout for her first start off a short layoff. She may work out a nice inside-out stalking trip. PREACHERS LADY made a premature wide move going longer last time out, and should appreciate turning back in distance for this. She has some speed, and can be prominent when the field turns for home. Note that she was late to change leads two starts back when rallying nicely along the rail.
