Hoppertunity getting back into gear

Neville Hopwood/Dubai Racing Club Hoppertunity has earned over $4 million in 25 lifetime starts.
The well-traveled Hoppertunity, who has not raced since finishing sixth in the Dubai World Cup on March 25, is starting back toward a return to action. He worked an easy three furlongs on Monday at Los Alamitos, his second drill on the comeback trail.

“He’s never really had a break before,” said his trainer, Bob Baffert. “When he came back from Dubai he was lethargic.”
Hoppertunity, 6, has won graded stakes races at ages 3, 4, 5, and 6. He has won 7 of 26 starts, including two Grade 1 races – the Jockey Club Gold Cup and Clark -- and has earned more than $4.2 million.
