Bruce on the Loose will try to rebound from his second in the Indiana Futurity on Nov. 7 when he heads a field of nine in Sunday's closing day feature, the $40,000 Indiana Stallion Stakes.

A six-furlong race, the Indiana Stallion is for 2-year-olds sired by registered Indiana stallions.

Bruce on the Loose, trained by Robert Lester, was sent off at 4-5 in the Futurity and carried a three-length lead to midstretch. He continued on willingly but could not hold off the late-closing Snack and settled for second, beaten a half-length.

Snack will not run Sunday, and Bruce on the Loose should be heavily backed to collect his third career win. Lester Knight will ride from post 9.

Trainer Richard Vega will bring in Rock Hard Safe, a maiden who appears capable of challenging the top choice. In his career debut Oct. 31, Rock Hard Safe was second against maiden company at Philadelphia Park. The race experience should benefit him, and he will be in the capable hands of rider Fabio Arguello Jr. while breaking from post 7.

Moros Destiny, third in the Indiana Futurity, should race from just off the pace. He got caught up in the pace of the Futurity and appears more suited to stalking, a trait that earned him an 11 1/4-length maiden win Sept. 19. David Norris trains and Damon Leeds will ride from post 6.

The closing day feature is carded as the ninth on a 12-race card that begins at 6:10 p.m., as Hoosier concludes its 60-day meet and 10th year of Thoroughbred racing.
