Hoosier: Red's Honor best in Brickyard

ANDERSON, Ind. - Red's Honor staked a claim as one of the top Indiana-breds in training, cruising to a 2 3/4-length win in the $44,400 Brickyard Stakes.

With Justin Vitek riding, Red's Honor clicked off solid fractions of 22.12, 44.76, and 56.78 seconds en route to his second consecutive stakes win. He ran the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:09.53, one of the fastest clockings of the meet. He returned $3 in the field of 11.

Trained by Dale Romans, 3-year-old Red's Honor is now 6-0-1 in 12 starts and has earnings of more than $160,000.
