Hoosier Park: Satin Dancer keeps on streaking

Greg Reinhart|Oct 29, 2016

Satin Dancer stretched her win streak to five with a 1:58 4/5 performance in the $75,000 Madison County for 2-year-old trotting fillies, one of four stakes events that were staged on Saturday at Hoosier Park.

Driven by Lewayne Miller, Satin Dancer led the way through panels of 28 2/5, 59, and 1:28 3/5, and a 30 1/5 final quarter was enough to get her home a length and a quarter to the good over Foxy Swan (Trace Tetrick). Blinded By Lindy (Ricky Macomber Jr.) finished in third.

A daughter of Big Stick Lindy, Satin Dancer is trained by Byron Hooley for owner Summit Pacing Acres LLC. Satin Dancer, who beat open company in a Standardbred division at the Delaware County Fair last month before winning an Indiana Sires Stakes final and the Super Final prior to tonight, has won in nine of her 16 tries, and she has banked $265,433. The 6-1 third choice, Satin Dancer returned $14.60 to win.

In the $72,500 Madison County for rookie trotting colts, Lindy The Great (Tetrick) rallied from fourth and nine lengths back at the 1:26 2/5 three-quarters to prevail by a nose over favorite Fraser Ridge (Aaron Merriman), who had taken the lead at the 57 4/5 half, in 1:56 3/5. Swan Chase (Tyler Smith) was the third-place finisher.

Frank Antonacci trains Lindy The Great, a colt by Crazed, for owner/breeder K R Breeding LLC. Lindy The Great has prevailed twice from four efforts, and he has now earned $43,750. Dispatched at 2-1, Lindy The Great paid $6.60 to win.

Eddard Hanover (Macomber Jr.) took the $60,000 Madison County for 2-year-old colt pacers in 1:53 1/5 after he showed the way through fractions of 26 3/5, 55 3/5, and 1:24 4/5. He defeated Captain Velocity (John De Long) by three lengths, with Ben N Crosby (Sam Widger) back in third.

The victorious Dragon Again gelding is trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., JJK Stables LLC., Larry Karr, and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. Eddard Hanover now has a record of 3-2-2 from 12 trips behind the gate, and he shows a bankroll of $119,941. The 1-2 public choice, Eddard Hanover returned $3.00.

Ain't Three Ok (De Long) was more than okay in the $58,000 Madison County for 2-year-old filly pacers, winning by 4 3/4 lengths in 1:53 3/5 after leading much of the way. Glassine Hanover (Tetrick) came in second, and Rock Me Gorgeous (Brandon Bates) snagged third.

A Mach Three filly, Ain't Three Ok is trained by Steve Carter for owner Chuck Grubbs. Ain't Three Ok has won on four occasions from ten starts, and she has earned $197,224. The slight second choice behind Glassine Hanover, Ain't Three Ok paid $5.80 to win.
