Mr. Mink did not disappoint his legion of supporters with a 4 1/4-length win Sunday in the $40,000 Brickyard Stakes at Hoosier Park.

The overwhelming favorite, Mr. Mink ($2.40) broke on top and never relinquished the lead under jockey Tom Pompell. Miss Ashley finished second, one length ahead of Unloosened Bit. Final time for six furlongs over a good track was 1:13.13.
