Hoosier Park: $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Analysis for Thursday 5/15

Race 3

(5) VELOCITY SONJA & (1) WILD WANDA – These gals come out of the same race and were both making their first starts of the year. Both raced well and either could step up with the start under their belts.

(9) SOOKIE – Arrives from the east coast and deserves at least a look on the track.

Race 4

(9) SHOOTIN TYME – Rallied home impressively after an early miscue. Gelding only needs a reasonable trip to be involved.

(1) CLYDES TANQUERAY – Here is another coming from the east likely to race in Indiana sired races in the near future. Three-year-old has form and should be a player.

(4) ACE OF SAND – Moved up to this level and couldn’t get involved from post eight. He moves inside tonight and could be forwardly placed.

(10) STRAIGHT COMIC – Was stuck with an outside post to start the year. He should be closer to the action from the second tier.

(2) SAND SHARK – Drops for a top barn.

Race 5

(3) IMA RANGER – Couldn’t last on the engine last time but seems to be in against an easier group. If he puts in a similar effort, he’ll win tonight.

(7) UP ALL NIGHT – Was used up early and tired. With a better trip, watch out!

Race 6

This is an absolutely wide open race. None of the 10 would be a surprise and I’ll use a quartet of morning line longshots to get coverage.

(1) IGRAINE, (8) QUICK LITTLE MISS & (10) DIVA DU JOUR – All three of these mares come in from Hazel Park with either form or another solid angle. Any could win at a healthy price.

(3) SAVE YOUR BEST – Couldn’t handle this class from the second tier last time, but she gets her nose on the gate this week.
