Hong Kong: Glorious Spectrum due for a win at Sha Tin
Glorious Spectrum can land his first Hong Kong win in the featured 10th race Sunday at Sha Tin.
The Australian-bred 5-year-old, imported after racing two seasons in Italy, had two wins and a second during the 2018-2019 Hong Kong season and has two more runner-up finishes from three races during his 2019-2020 campaign. He lost by a nose May 24 at Sha Tin racing at this Class 2 handicap level and over this same 1,400-meter distance, and Glorious Spectrum is well overdue for a breakthrough.
Antoine Hamelin is booked to ride for trainer Ricky Yiu as Glorious Spectrum faces 13 foes in the last of 10 races Sunday. The card is available for live-streaming and wagering at bets.drf.com and has a first post of 12:45 a.m. Eastern.

Glorious Spectrum breaks from post 7 and carries 129 pounds, three fewer than top-rated Perfect Match, who won two races in a row earlier in the year but enters this start after a pair of clunkers.

Mongolian King has been racing on the Sha Tin dirt track but has run competitively over the turf course, as well.
Three-year-old Prince of Frogs was a Group 2 winner in Australia last year racing as Colada, and at the bottom of the weight scale can be expected to improve on a modest Hong Kong debut last month at Happy Valley.
