Hollywood Park: All Star Heart scratched from Matriarch

INGLEWOOD, Calif. - The improving filly All Star Heart was scratched from the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes on Friday at Hollywood Park, after trainer Ron McAnally was not satisfied with her condition.

"She's not 100 percent, therefore we had to scratch," McAnally said. All Star Heart did not get sick.

"When she came back from galloping [Thursday], she was just not 100 percent," McAnally said. "That's all we know at this time."

All Star Heart has won 5 of her last 7 starts for McAnally, who took over training the filly last fall. Her most recent start was a two-length win the Grade 2 Las Palmas at Santa Anita.

Gerald Gibbs owns All Star Heart, a 4-year-old daughter of Arch who was listed as the 4-1 co- third choice on the morning line for the Matriarch. She has won five races and $261,705 from 15 starts overall.
