Hollendorfer wins five

ALBANY, Calif. Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer saddled five winners on Saturdays Golden Gate Fields card, tying the track record for wins by a trainer in a single day.

Hollendorfers winners were Britney Heat ($4.80) in the first, Powerful Summer ($3.60) in the second, Nsync Lynx ($38.60) in the third, Very Persuasive ($11.40) in the seventh and TJs Dixie ($9.80) in the eighth. His odds-on Wild Miss RN took the lead in the stretch in the fourth race but was caught and beaten three-quarters of a length by longshot Lunar Mystery.

Russell Baze rode the first two winners and Carlos Gonzalez the final two. Alex Bisono was aboard longshot Nsync Lynx.

It marked the fourth time Hollendorfer has won five races on one card. Hes done it twice each at Bay Meadows and Golden Gate Fields. Ace Gibson and Walter Greenman are the only other trainers with five wins in a day in Northern California.
