Hollendorfer ties record

Jerry Hollendorfer tied a northern California training record of which he was co-holder with five victories at Bay Meadows on Wednesday.

It was the third time Hollendorfer has won five races in a day. He also did it at Golden Gate Fields on May 1, 1996, and at Bay Meadows on Jan. 23, 1997. Walter Greenman (Nov. 25, 1970 at Bay Meadows) and Ace Gibson (Feb. 24, 1971 at Golden Gate Fields) also had five winners in one day.

Hollendorfer's winners were A Reel Tizzy ($6.60) in the second race, Shadow Raider ($9.40) in the third, High Liability ($5.40) in the fourth, My Ruby Charm ($4.20) in the sixth, and Lucky Sabre ($12.60) in the seventh. Russell Baze rode the first four winners, and Ron Warren Jr. was aboard Lucky Sabre.

Hollendorfer currently has 47 victories to lead the Bay Meadows meeting.
